Dr. Khatia Kikalishvili, LL.M., is Program Director at the Center for Liberal Modernity in Berlin. She leads the Eastern Partnership Plus program, funded by the German Foreign Office. Her work focuses on EU enlargement, European security, democratic resilience, and geopolitical developments in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. Previously, she worked as a foreign and European policy advisor in the German Bundestag for over ten years, focusing on relations with the Eastern Partnership countries, Russia, EU enlargement, and NATO. In this role, she worked on parliamentary initiatives, delegation visits, and strategy papers, particularly on security policy challenges and the European Neighborhood Policy.
